Full Gamut offers artwork digitisation in Tasmania
Full Gamut provides a comprehensive fine art reproduction service. We have many clients who have their original artworks digitised before they are sold. This includes original artworks such as oil paintings, acrylics and many others. Contact the team at Full Gamut if you have any questions.
From the digital file we are able to create high quality reproductions on paper or canvas in a range of sizes. An original can be reproduced as a set of A4, A3, A2, A1 or any custom size that can then be printed on demand providing an ongoing income stream for the artist.
We keep the art reproduction files in our digital archive so that reprints can be ordered via phone or email and posted directly to the customer. High quality Art Prints can also be custom framed or framed to one of our set sizes in house.
This process is the perfect solution for artists that have sold their original artwork, want to get it digitised and then move forward with limited edition prints or high quality reproductions with the fine art printing services available at Full Gamut.
How the Art reproductions work
Artwork is digitised under controlled lighting conditions for accurate colour reproduction.Larger works are captured using either our Fuji GFX100S 102MP Medium format digital system and the smaller works are captured on a Nikon 47MP CMOS digital SLR and premium Zeis reproduction lenses. Larger pieces may be photographed in sections and stitched together for larger file sizes.
Files will be sent electronically via our Hightail system. High resolution TIFF files and a web sized JPEG will be provided on request. The artist owns the digital files and is at liberty to take them wherever they wish for reproduction. We do not lock you in to our service, but for ease of printing & reproduction we keep a digitised record at our business.
Digitised art work reproduction is charged at an hourly rate. Typically one large piece of work takes approximately 45min (500-1000mm wide). Included in this charge is initial setup.
It is important to note that subsequent pieces photographed at the same time will take less time so the effective price per piece will come down. It is therefore more economical to reproduce a batch of work than one piece at a time.
The cost of artwork digitisation & reproduction
Art Reproduction is charged out at $165.00 per hour inc GST. The reproduction costs depend on the specific prints the client wants. It can range from your general public prints to museum quality prints.
