The last known Tasmanian tiger (Thylacine) died in the Hobart Zoo, Tasmania, on September 7, 1936. They were once here and now their presence is intangible but a constant presence nevertheless. kunanyi/Mount Wellington is a constant living presence in Hobart, Tasmania. It is a wild place and on the mountain there is a track named the Lost World Track. I let these two ideas form the basis for this emotive painting.
Prints are printed on 310gsm print version of watercolour paper with archival inks. The texture of the paper and quality of inks used often generates the 'is this an original?' question. It is not a limited edition print run.
