Cardiocrinum giganteum - Giant Himalayan Lily

his herbaceous giant lily comes from the woodlands of the Himalayas, Burma and southwest China. An amazing rarity, it is the tallest growing of any lily. In the evenings, the flowers emit a heavy oriental, sweet but spicy scent. Its magnificent green seed pods turn brown then open to spill copious large seeds when ripe.
